What we are looking for
The Creative Director will report to the Chief Marketing Officer or their designate and will play a key role in creating and leading all creative projects at GoodLeaf Farms, ensuring that our brand identity is reflected consistently across all visual assets. This role will take ownership of the creative process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality content that aligns with our brand image and marketing objectives.
What you will be doing
Creative Leadership and Brand Strategy
Lead the creative vision for all marketing and branding initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment with GoodLeaf Farms’ values and objectives.
Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and team meetings, providing marketing insights and creative solutions that support team goals.
Direct the creative team in generating innovative ideas and concepts for various marketing assets.
Manage and oversee day-to-day creative team operations, assigning tasks, and collaborating with vendors when necessary. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.
Collaborate closely with the Brand Manager, Director of Marketing, and other internal teams to create and implement fresh ideas for branding, promotional campaigns, and communications.
Recognize the latest design and communication trends, market developments, and competitor activity to ensure the content produced is relevant and impactful.
Deliver marketing assets and strategies in alignment with established timelines and the marketing calendar.
Lead the team’s communication with external vendors, ensuring clear direction, effective negotiation (when necessary), and quality performance measurement.
Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of the creative team as the department grows.

Support team members and encourage a hands-on, solutions-based approach to challenges.
Maintain a high level of professionalism, always adhering to company policies and ethical standards regarding workplace conduct.
Follow company policies and report any concerns related to harassment, discrimination, or unethical behavior to management in a timely manner.

Education and Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of experience in graphic design, art direction, content creation, or a similar role, with a demonstrated portfolio of successful creative projects.
Leadership: Proven experience in managing creative teams, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with timelines and budgets.
Independent and Collaborative Work: Capable of working independently while also being an effective team leader and collaborator.
Creative Problem Solving: Strong ability to think strategically and adapt to new challenges, finding innovative solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen ability to articulate creative concepts and ideas.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Wordpress, Microsoft Suite, and other design tools.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify marketing trends and opportunities to support business growth.
Professional Skills: Strong attention to detail, project management abilities, with a commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
